...without really paying attention huggy has reached the ripe old age of 8 months. i feel like just yesterday he was still sleeping in our bed. ok, yesterday is an exaggeration, its been 2 weeks. i heart our little huggy but man am i happy to have him sleeping in his own crib. the first 7 1/2 months of his life he'd start out the night in the cosleeper and then migrate into the bed at some point in the evening. he'd normally wake every 1 to 2 hrs. jala1 and i would be in such haze that we couldn't even muster the energy to place him back in the cosleeper. our exhaustion came to a head a couple weeks ago and we decided to just go for it. throw the boys into a room together and let them sort it out. turns out it was US keeping huggy up. whoops. little man slept through the night 3 nights in a row. so freaking awesome. my inner clock was even more confused. i'd wake up after 6 hrs unrefreshed and craving more sleep. only after a week or so am i starting to feel "normal".

...huggy sits up just fine on his own now, can roll over, is starting on solids, likes to bounce, hates tummy time, has two bottom teeth and is starting to cut his upper row. the teething i think is causeing us a minor setback on the sleep front. poor little man is pissed off and not exactly consolable.

postscript: 2 mths later i realize this is still a draft. just going to post for posterity. the whole point of this blog was so that someday the boys would have a record of what they were like as babes. mace will of course feel shafted as i seemingly had way more time to post early on with rocco than i do now. this also serves as a jumping off point for actually filling in the baby books. another item on our (my) to do list. ah well.
