hey little man...

... rocco weighed in at 7 lbs, 19.5 in at birth. we're home now and it really is amazing.

... the show unfolded monday with my water breaking at the doctor's office and dr a telling us i'm 4 cm dilated and he'll meet us in the birthing suite. 2 weeks early, he took us by surprise. 15 hrs of labor later he became a trailblazer on the arb express. i'll leave it to xena to record the birth story as 3 hrs of pushing made me a little delirious.

...bloody show begin! ok, apologies for the vulgarity, but we're on. i had one of the pre-labor symptoms start during newborn class today. i suppose that now we're done classes, ray ray feels like we're ready for him to arrive. impatient little bugger, doesn't he realize we have 2 weeks to go and most newborns come late!! ah well. who knows. various resources say labor is imminent (averaging 1-2 days after losing the mucus plug) but could be up to 2 weeks out. one of the false signs. will keep you all posted.

...as a precaution, jala and i packed for the hospital for real.
