15 pounds later...

week 21...

...the insomnia is driving me batty. i knew i wasn't supposed to be sleeping on my back but found out last night that later in pregnancy the wee one could crush a vein in there causing all sorts of ill will. ai-ah. going to have to bolster myself onto my side so i don't roll onto my back where i've slept for the past 33 YEARS. oh the places we'll go.

...went to a "guilty pleasures" show last night, a benefit for mercycorps.org (GIVE!). 12 or so bands playing 3 covers each. personal fave for the evening was the trifecta of staying alive, father figure and benny and the jets on the accordian. some serious toe tapping folks. ray ray protested our proximity to the stage with constant bladder pressure but enjoyed the show overall. we spent the drive home trying to come up with our own medley of guilty pleasures. my votes for today: total eclipse of the heart, the one day at a time theme song and father christmas.

...have finally started to wake up and actually feel pregnant. still tired all the time. can't stop myself from falling asleep at 9. otherwise all is a-ok.
