snow days-ed and confused
written during the snowpocalypse...
being homebound is just not an option. every day we're doing our best to get out and about. its a battle but worth the effort. taco is something akin to the little brother from the christmas story every time he waddles out the door. our daily destination has been cedar park at the end of our block. the neighborhood kids have adopted the hill as the sledding spot of choice and no one seems to mind the dogs off leash. taco wants to play outside as if all the white stuff didn't exist, preferring the swings and slide to the sled. like all good parents we coerced him into riding down the hill w/ one of us and that seemed to go well. you gotta second guess your parenting whenever you say to your child in that sing song voice - "i think you're going to liiiike it"
post script... in many ways the snowpocalypse was a blessing. we got lots of qt as a family as we explored the neighborhood. we shared some yummy cookies w the neighbors, mastered the tumble track at the gymnastics academy, scored a wooden toy kitchen from the thrift store and rang the choo choo at the hobby shop. i heart ciudad del lago.
